Sparkles

vicenza
After a terrible no good dinner the night before we slept with upset stomachs and worked on getting over the mid week hump.
the morning was rushed and the shower was the tiniest. we eventually made it out of the house and on the buss and then on the train to vicenzia.

We met keiths work connection friend at the train station and he marveled in how tall, attractive and young keith is in comparison to how he looks via skype ( i know i know)  We were lucky enough to enjoy him as a tour guide for a few hours. He walked us through the city hitting points of the beautiful architecture. It was interesting to hear a little added history. He lived close by and had been here all his life. It was facinating to hear all the various projects he was working on and potential jobs keith could be a part of here in italy.

I had worn the wrong clothes and the wind went right through me. there was only one solution: shopping. I allowed the boys some time to chat and I explored this beautiful city. I loved its vibe. I loved the little shops and the beauty of each building. However, it was a quiet town and exploring from one end to the other did not take much time. There was also an interesting homeless population that was keen on following you quite closely. Having never experienced being stalked with mere inches between us keith and i were quickly not a fan of this aspect.

Keith and i made it to a lovely lunch spot where i ordered chicken. and it was simply that, grilled chicken. Nothing more nothing less, it was just juicy fresh chicken with a slice of lemon. oddly this was all youd ever want and need. fresh and not at all plain.

After lunch keith joined me in more shopping giving the occasional nod of approval and pursed lips over overly glittery pants. After we found a necessary pink jacket we strolled the streets hand in hand, cuddled close because you know its windy.  After so much touring each day we were happy to put our feet up and simply sip some decedent hot chocolate by the cathedral. The hot chocolate at ily was to die for. I watched as they placed pieces of chocolate in a cup then add milk , stir and hand it over to me. it was rich perfection and just what i wanted on a windy cool day.

Once our drinks were consumed i encouraged some sparkley window shopping. He stopped at the place i had found and admired a necklace in the window. we went in and after some convincing i decided that i did in fact need it. I am now equally obnoxious with it as i am with my christmas ring. It is perfection.

With this new purchase i had to immediately buy a new outfit to go along with it (if you give a mouse a cookie...) This is where my epic floral jumpsuit comes in. An impulse buy that has paid off ten fold. Great piece. Naturally with all this shopping we had to run( sprint) to the train in order to make it in time for dinner. Yet again another eventful end to a wonderful day.

Once back in Verona keith napped and i prepared to look my absolute prettiest for dinner at du schei (these blogs are slightly out of order i think?)
